It's been one of those weeks so I haven't managed any scrapping but I hadn't got round to uploading the last couple of UKS weekly challenges:
The first one is April week 5 - use the sketch as inspiration, scrap a first, use old or new paper and bunting.
The sketch was lovely, and perfect for these smaller passport photos. The first is us preparing for our first holiday abroad with the boys, and having to renew/apply for passports. I used the This & That papers that I bought recently and of course the bunting which was on the sketch provided.
This one is for last week's challenge, May week 1. The criteria was to use cord/twine/ribbon, some bling, the colours green and white, and stamping. The stamping is a bit of a cop out really as I don't like stamping, I always seem to mess it up. So if you get a magnifying glass out, you'll be able to spot a little row of stamped hearts on the top pink strip.
It was so hot that day, and by the time we had climbed to the top of the hill we were exhausted. Thank goodness for the conveniently parked ice cream van in the car park up there lol.

April crop sketch
Had fun playing with paint this afternoon and did this LO using the April crop sketch.... the challenge was to use water - I watered down some paint to make the splatters and needed to use some to wash out the tyre of the monster truck I used to make the chevrons :-)
Now to do May's - I seem to be in a permanent state of catching up with stuff!

Finishing off
This week I have finally got round to finishing off the LOs that I started at the crops last month.... this first one is using my UKS team's March sketch, and the final scraps from my Christmas
Total Papercrafts kit. I found this photo while clearing out the
archived holiday forms at work - strange place to find it! It was taken
at our go karting Christmas party in (I think) 2003. I'm the only one
still working there now.....
A LO from our visit to Falkirk Wheel using a sketch from The Crumblies retreat and the crop kit we all had from the lovely Sandra at Gottacraft
And a LO using a January Total Papercrafts kit. Love the glittered paper in this kit and it's a shame we didn't have more snowy pictures from this winter as they would have looked great. I've used photos of Joe at his friend's ice skating party.... he really enjoyed it once he finally let go of the side lol.

New adventures for the hound
After getting totally soaked on Wednesday when we got caught out in a hailstone storm and major downpour, we've been trying again to get Clyde to let us put his coat on. Dave managed it yesterday while they were playing in the garden so he had his first walk wearing it. He doesn't bother at all with it when it's on, it's just the getting it on and off he doesn't like. He does look a bit of a dude though.
We've given up trying to get him to stop digging in the garden.... it's in his nature and that's that. So in an attempt to stop him creating little craters all over the grass we have given him his own little dig pit. Has he been in there having fun?
...... nope, apparently not if his 'what? I haven't done anything' look is to be believed. Blimey Charlie, my OCD hormones are going mental!!

UKS challenge LOs
I've managed to do another couple of LOs this week. This one is using our crop March sketch and combining it with the criteria for the UKS April week 2 challenge which was use a nursery rhyme/fairytale for your title, photos(s) of an animal and several papers/types of paper.
I've used Little Star, as in Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, photos of the hound of course, and quite a few different papers (mainly scraps) and some paper rosettes. Thanks to my fellow Crumblies Sal for the thin acetate which I used to make the swirls with liquid pearls and Mary for the tip about using shanked buttons and glossy accents to fill the centre of the rosettes.
At the crop this morning I did this LO using the sketch for the UKS April house challenge.
Can't really see the journalling on the photo, but it stands out more IRL....
I half did a couple of other LOs at the crop too, just need to add titles and journalling. I had a pretty productive morning!

April week 1 challenge
I'm on a bit of a scrapping roll, helped greatly by having DH at home over the Easter weekend to supervise all the small people in the house. A bit late in uploading due to the naff weather yesterday which meant I couldn't get a decent photo, but here is the LO I did on Sunday for the UKS April week 1 challenge. The criteria was to use the sketch provided, a photo to make people smile and lots of buttons.
The photo is FIL and the boys hanging off the bars at a local country park. They love just dangling there and have fits of giggles while having their photo taken.

Venice LO
I finished the LO I started at the last crop today, it's using a Total Papercrafts kit.
and yes despite saying I would not be hand cutting the floral pattern from the paper, today I sat for ages doing it....
